This is a tough loss. We began with a great defensive stop after we kicked off to them. They
punted to us and we started on the 20. We drove 80 yards with ease and made it 7-0. Then Pace
got the ball back and our defense forced a turnover and the Falcons were on offense once more.
We drove down to the Viking 5 yard line and were not able to score in 4 downs. Pace stepped it up
and prevented us from going up 14-0 in the first quarter. Oh yeah, and I bet that Referee was
praying that the game wasn't decided by 3 points.
The Pace duo which consisted of the QB and the RB were shifty and had good speed and cutback
abilities. We were not able to stop their running game. We kept it close, unitl the 4th
quarter(17-14). But as we all know, the run wears down the D. We need to keep our heads up and
move on. That is only 1 game. We still have 6 to go. Go Falcons.
We has more first downs(22 to 18) and out offense had similar yardage. The only stat thats sticks
out is the turnovers.
What worked: The passing game was still good. 182 yrds in the air is not bad.
What worked: The running game. We still managed to run the ball quite well. Our leading rusher
still had 117 yrds rushing. The total rushing yards for the game was 233!
What worked: "Hurry up" offense looked good. The players seem to execute this pretty good.
What worked: The 5-10 and out routes the WR were running were very well ran. Nice 3rd down
completions.
Fine Tunning?
We all now the we had difficulty stoping the run. Turnovers. Cover up the ball.
